What is detoxification and why is it so important?
-Detoxification-The process of removing toxic substances and qualities from our body.
-Toxins-a type of poison that can be disease causing in the body.
-How its works in the body?
– Most toxins are fat-soluble, so they must be converted to water soluble substance in order to be excreted in the bile (through the liver), the urine (the kidneys), or from sweat (from the sweat glands).
-This happens in 2 parts
-Part 1-The toxins are converted using chemical processes like, oxidation, reduction, hydrolysis, and dehalogenation. In short they are released from our fat and set free in the body.
– Part 2-Your cells attach a side chain to the newly active toxins. This makes toxin water-soluble so it can be flushed out of the body.
Every part of the sequence must work in order to properly release toxins from your body. When Phase 1 happens, but Phase 2 doesn’t, it can be very damaging to the body.
Nutrition is EXTREMELY important in this process.
-The food we eat can directly effect things like, whether we are taking in more toxins like, GLYPHOSATES, PESTICIDES and HEAVY METALS from our foods.
-Food can also determine whether we receives adequate vitamins and minerals that we need to eliminate toxins.
One of the best ways you can support your detox pathways are eating foods like Organic fruits and vegetables, organic dairy products, and organically raised grass-fed meats. Eating as close to nature as we can. Eating food that is free from pesticides, antibiotics, additives and preservatives. Once food is sprayed with things like pesticides, they lose phytonutrients and they lose the ability to detoxify you body.
Some of the symptoms that are associated with a toxic overload in your body are thing like, food allergies, neurological issues such as brain fog, restless leg, nerve pain, and Parkinson’s disease, autoimmune disease, obesity, diabetes, CANCER, hormone issue, fertility issues, chronic fatigue, mood swings, anxiety, depression and fibromyalgia.
With that being said what are 5 ways to detox your body daily.
- Eat a wide variety of organic fruits and vegetables daily. Try to eat the rainbow.
- Try to use a sauna on a weekly basis or sweat daily.
- Exercise! Moving your body is a great way to detoxify because not only does it help you sweat but it move toxin through you lymphatic system and muscular system.
- Support you digestion. Supporting you digestion can be a great way to help move toxins out of your body. If you cannot eliminate, you will not be able to bind and remove the toxin from your intestines that are dumped out of you liver, resulting in recirculation of toxins in the body. Supporting you body with digestive enzymes and pre and probiotics are a great place to start.
- Rest! Getting adequate sleep is also going to support your body immune system and enhance your bodies ability to fight free radical and toxins.
